Steam wiped my friends list

I just noticed, when I wanted to talk to one of my Steam friends, that my entire Steam friends list was wiped clean. Luckily I was able to re-add some of the most important ones, but why the fuck did this happen? I also noticed that I lost connection to the Steam servers quite a bit today, and I am unable to connect to Steam community. Perhaps a server malfunction?

Ugh, had like 25 friends on there and I can only remember 4 of them. 2 of which I can't add because "steam can't find them lololol".

Yes the email lies, its not a email and im not in japan and im not akira... my bro made it up a long time ago.

I did, but it did nothing. I went to sleep afterwards though, now my friends list is back.

Well kahn i get 2 kno u? Im 15, i love to play hl2 other valve games, i have a youtube account, play warcraft 3, im slightly addicted to left 4 dead 2, and im able to imitate the herbert voice from family guy, and a lil bit of golem.

I like to keep my friends list open.

I don't like to add people that I only know for a couple of days. I'll go ahead and add you for now but I'm rather selective with who I label as a good friend, so don't be shocked if I remove you.
