Why I love newly opened forums

Pretty much any name is open and ready for taking.
In fact, I bet you you could go and sign up the name "Chuck Norris" right now.

I love newly opened forums because I can give the owner tips on how to not make it another kiddie-board, and because I can tell the owner what moderators should do and shouldn't do. I can't count the amount of times I've seen a mod ban people for the stupidest reasons.

Dont tell me... I remember someone in a danish forum (yup im danish, awright?) that got banned for giving constructive critic in a fanfic... AND that was like the most popular danish forum with that topic (not gonna tell. MUAHAHAHAHA!)

That's quite depressing to be honest. Not that someone got banned but that the moderator is an idiot.

Oh, did i mention on the same forum, a mod got fired by saying that the forum was getting a bit too flame-war'ed? i dont think so...

Well depending on the way he complained, that could be his fault or their fault. It could be his fault if he was rude in his complaints or kept whining. It could be their fault if he was not. It could also be the fault of chance if the forum happened to have too many mods and the owner just decided to trash the first to bug them, though this would seem unlikely considering the forum was supposedly full of flamers.
