Read this before posting.

Search before posting. I'm beginning to notice a lot of reposts, so check the thread titles of other threads to see if a game has been requested already. (In Firefox and Chrome(possibly also other browsers), you can use Ctrl+F to find a word or a phrase quickly, so if your requested game is named The Illusive Man, write Illusive, as it's a less common word, in the search box) Reposting threads makes it unfair for others who want another game played, as well as cluttering the forum. Repost threads will be closed, though if there are several requests in the thread, the reposted game will be edited out.

Don't post a game that has already been played. More or less the same as above, only you should search on Trask's YouTube channel instead. This rule should be fairly obvious and most of the time people just break it by accident, such as if they didn't see/remember the LPs. Still, try not to break it. It'll just get your thread locked and your finger energy wasted.

Include a link to the game in your thread. While doing a quick search on Google may seem simple enough, sometimes it's not a very popular game, and it can take long to search for it(which means if you don't have a download link in your thread and it takes more than one page to find on Google, I won't add it for you).

Write the name of the game in the title. This makes it much easier to notice and close repost threads.

Describe the game. It doesn't have to be a really long description(though if you're in a writing mood, it's most definitely not discouraged), but at least tell us what the game is about.

Free games only. Now, I'm not entirely sure if this was Trask's initial intention, but from what I gathered from the HT,PT videos, most of them are short and free games. Therefore, please don't post any games you have to pay for.(I know a lot of the game suggestions are more of a Let's Play length, but I figured I'd let people post them anyway in case Trask likes them.)

If not one of the rules above is followed at all, your thread will be deleted. Otherwise(if one or two rules are broken) it will be locked, with some exceptions depending on whether it was accidental or not.

Also, this isn't as much a rule than just a request, but please don't reply to repost threads unless it's necessary or they're already at the top. It bumps them up to the top of the list, making them more popular, which isn't fair if the first thread creator made a really descriptive and interesting thread. If you want us to notice faster, just PM a mod or post about it in this thread.

Other mods, feel free to edit any rules in if needed. Also, if you feel I'm acting too harshly or you don't agree with a rule, please tell me, and I'll consider altering it.

Finally a mod decides to put this up! I wasn't sure if people would take it seriusly if a normal user like me posted it. In fact... I didnt think of this earlier XD

I'm gonna edit each thread title to the requested game and close repost threads. It might take a while, so don't go crazy if I missed one.

Whodunedit:

I renamed some thread titles to include the game's name and closed some repost threads like I promised. I also rewrote some OPs to be more descriptive and have links. Most, if not all, threads from before these rules were added should be following them now. The rest have been closed or deleted.(Only 2 deletions so far.)

Quick question. Are we allowed to request games that need to be downloaded if we can provide a link to it?

I believe Trask has done some of those, but I don't recall if he did them in a Hey Trask, Play This. I'd say it's up to him.

The first thread was made on December 4th. The second thread (that is locked) was made on January 1st. What you were looking at was the date at which the latest posts in each thread were made, not when the thread itself was made.
